17 Feb 2008 - Biiiig Update
So after not updating for almost two months (yeah, I suck) here is a biiig update for you:
- With the DVD release of Chansons d'amour a party was held at the Divan du mondeon November 26th where the actors performed there songs featured in the movie.
- Louis was at the Grand journal which is a show on Canal+ at some time last year. If anybody recorded this show please let me know.
- The short film Choisir d'aimer byRachid Hami was shown January 23rd at a film festival. Hopefully I will have some more info on that film soon.
- Filming of La belle personne should be done by now. It will be shown on ARTE in September.
- La frontière de l'aube (the Philippe Garrel movie) will be released in May
- Louis is going to be in a film called Les soeurs étrangères by Jean-Paul Rappeneau
- This year Louis isn't nominated for a César but several of his Les chansons d'amour co-stars are (ceremony takes place February 22nd) .
- If you're living in Australia this could be interesting: Les chansons d'amour will be shown at the French Film Festival 2008. More info here (Thanks to Clare!)

11 Dec 2007 - Louis in Italian Magazines
I'm not dead, I'm just super busy lately and there isn't very much to update at the moment 
Cri87 informed me that a few weeks ago there was an article about Louis and Valeria in the Italian Vanity Fair (the one with Giovanna Mezzogiorno on the cover), so if someone bought it and can provide me with a scan I'd really appreciate it. Full credit will be given of course there was also an article in IO Donna, cover can be seen below:

Cri87 (thanks a ton! ) translated and summed up an article in the June 2004 edition of Donna IO:
"Watching him while he's walking naked, fast and awkward, Louis Garrel, 21 years old, still looks like a teenager but extremly perverse. This in the movie, in the shocking Ma Mere with Isabelle Huppert. In the bistrot (during the interview) he is thinner, his face is white as marble, his hair is black and curly, he drinks an orange juice and he smokes. No sweat, he s wearing a jacket in a sultry Paris. Beautiful. 5 minutes ago he was acting Pirandello in theatre, rehearsals. Beautiful and talented. Many people think so. In his blood there are talent and art: his father the great director Philippe Garrel, his grandfather the actor Maurice Garrel and his mother the actress Brigitte Sy. But Louis Garrel has got "something special", B.Bertolucci understood it and he offered to him his first important roll, in The Dreamers Louis is Theo', between revolution and sex.
In Ma Mere Louis is Pierre, he loves his mother but she 's just a woman without moral. In the movie he is dreamy, gracefull and surprising! (Louis)-> When i read the script i was afraid, it' s very hard. My friends also read it and they push me to accept the roll. I was afraid by some very violent scenes, i was afraid not being able to do it, i was afraid of chainging too much, when you're, 20 you're fragile. My parents didn't see the movie, my request."
Also, the Chansons d'amour DVD was released last week. Unforunately I haven't found it anywhere yet, but a test can be found here.
09 Nov 2007 - New movie, videos, pictures
First of all, there will be a new Louis Garrel/Christophe Honore collaboration: La belle personne. Filming will start in December
Hugo, who was lucky enough to attend the Portugese Chansons d'amour premiere, sent me a video of an interview with Louis and Christophe. You can watch it here. (I will try to put up a version you can download soon)
